UV disinfection units comprises a low pressure mercury vapor lamp enclosed in a SS 316 reactor. The UV lamp emits powerful and lethal ultra violet light energy at 254 nm wavelength that disrupts the DNA of the micro organism, thereby causing the disinfection of the fluid that flows in the reactor. The UV can be used for both water and wastewater disinfection.
